Laurent Ferrier
Descending from a family of watchmakers and growing up in Geneva, Laurent Ferrier founded his eponymous brand in 2010, after decades spent working in the upper echelons of the Swiss watch industry. In Ferrier’s own words, the brand is driven by three core values: simplicity, precision, and pure, uncluttered beauty, all of which is evidenced by the brand’s beautifully finished movements, unfettered case designs, and an insistence on clean dials (even bucking industry trends by hiding its tourbillons).

Laurent Ferrier has made a name for itself with classically designed watches executed at the highest level. With a collection dominated by high-polished, fluid cases, the brand has checked many of the haute horlogerie boxes: minute repeater, tourbillon, annual calendar. On three occasions, Laurent Ferrier watches have received awards at GPHG.
Laurent Ferrier the man is a third generation watchmaker, growing up and attending watchmaking school in Geneva. He immediately set upon his horological career by joining PAtek Philippe, spending more than 37 years there—with a years-long sabbatical to pursue his passion for motorsport — eventually rising to Creative Director. Finally, at the age of 63, he departed Patek Philippe in 2009 and founded Laurent Ferrier with his friend, motorsport icon François Servanin.
Ferrier defines his design approach as pursuing simplicity, precision, and pure, uncluttered beauty, and it’s clear that he has maintained that from the start, and achieved it with every piece his brand has released. For proof, look no further than the Grand Sport Tourbillon, an integrated bracelet sports watch that sees the brand turn in a new direction while still maintaining its principles, with an aesthetic that exudes class and, contrary to most brands, keeps its tourbillon concealed under the dial.
